7/366 Blog Photo Challenge – Spider

I have arachnophobia or fear of spiders and other arachnids such as scorpions. I don’t know where this phobia stemmed from but I just freak out when I see a spider such as this:

I was brave enough to take a closer shot of this mommy spider because it was already DEAD! lol! The white thing under its belly is a sac that contains its eggs, which means its pregnant. It was protecting the sac when it died, I don’t remember why it died, probably I had it sprayed with insect spray. That’s how scared I am with these creepy creatures.

TAMBIS!

I’ve always loved tambis and when I was a little girl, I would climb our neighbor’s tambis tree just to be able to taste one. But now, married and moved to another part of the country, I have my own tambis tree. This type is the sweet one, those big red tambis, they say are called the American tambis which is bland in flavor. hehehe… sorry American friends… LOL! My only competition when it comes to eating this… the black birds!!!!

This was my afternoon snacks yesterday… right before the fruitcake… wahahaha! I love this flavor and even though it was too salty, I still love it and gulped down probably more than half a liter of water after eating.

It’s the fourth day of the year 2012 and it’s my second day to join the 366 Blog Photo Challenge.

This is the teddy bear that Baby Job loves to play with. He was already trying to eat the teddy so I had it placed on the computer table and took a snap. This teddy bear is also a hot compress. Inside the teddy’s tummy is a microwaveable bean bag with lavender scent and this teddy can give you a real warm hug. I love this too…

3/366 Blog Photo Challenge – FREE Ice Cream

Yes, it is a happy New Year and there will be no 30 day blog challenge for me… BUT, I am joining the 366 Blog Photo Challenge. I may not have a photo blog but I’d like to use this blog instead to post my entries.

Whew! It will be a tough challenge. I just hope I can make it and will really last the whole year through! Wish me luck!

Okay so for my first entry, here’s a snap of the FREE ice cream we had for New Year’s lunch.

Yes, you’ve read it right! This 800 ml of yummy ice cream was FREE! Hubby was at the store to buy one when a patient came up to him and asked him if he’d be going back to the hospital, but because hubby won’t be going back, he instead had the consultation at the store, hehehe… and the patient… well, he paid for the ice cream! How cool is that! Well, just one of the many perks of having a doctor for a husband! LOL!

30-Day Blog Challenge

I have so overlooked this blog for so many times that I have already forgotten my log-in details… so silly of me! Anyhow, I would really, really, really love to keep this updated since this domain was given to me for free by a blogger friend. I had to put this to good use.

So, to kick off… again… I’d like to challenge myself for 30 days to write a post daily. There will be questions or specific themes everyday and I must answer it or write something about it. As to the questions, that I still have to think of. I have seen one like this (30 day blog challenge) and would like to follow that. I will still have to ask permission from that blogger if she will allow me to copy the questions. I just hope she will.

I actually have done a 30-day blog challenge when this year started but wasn’t able to complete it. I was only till the 26th day, I was so near to completing the challenge, and yet I failed. hehehe… I hope this time I will be able to finish it till the end…

I am crossing my fingers on this challenge!

This blog has not been “circulated” in the blogosphere. This was my first ever blog and as much as I wanted to update this all the time, it seems that I get preoccupied with my self-hosted blogs and I have forgotten, if not “totally” neglected this one. I kept on posting that I will post here and update this, but I never got to do it… So anyway, for this blog to get around and have traffic, I am joining the newest photo meme among native “Visayan” speakers in the Philippines. Starting Again

It’s been almost four months since I last posted here. I have been so engrossed with my self hosted blogs that I have almost forgotten this. I am contemplating of buying a new domain and then migrate this blog to it. I would really like to have all my blogs self hosted so that I can submit them to different paid-to-blog sites and probably earn.

I am thinking and weighing the pros and cons of diong so. I will be asking my expert friends on this…I hope they can help me.

By the way, to those who followed me, thank you ever so much!

Oh Captain, Oh Captain

In last Monday’s episode of Deadliest Catch, Captain Phil Harris has died. According to my hubby, it was really a tear-jerking episode, all the people involved in the scenes were emotional. And what’s so bad about it, I totally missed it!!! Grrrrr!

I have been following the top-rated show in Discovery Channel. It’s one of my favorites, and the news that Phil Harris has died was one of the episodes I’ve been wanting to watch. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to catch it! So bad! And the week is about to end and there would probably no more replays. My hubby told me when he watched it yesterday that I would have cried buckets of tears because all the scenes were so heart-breaking.

I hope I can still get to watch it.
